Our tip
A three-tiered waterfall reached by a short, steep walk of 1–2 km through forest. The pool at the base is lovely when the flow is gentle; never swim alone or in high water. Best October to March. One of the most rewarding easy treks in Wayanad. Go before 10 AM to beat the crowds. From our guest guidebook

What to expect
From the parking area a path drops through evergreen forest to the base of the falls, with plenty of steps on the way back up. The water falls in three tiers into a rock pool, and the cliff face is also used for rock climbing. The site is plastic-free and bags are checked at the entrance.
Plan your visit
- Get there close to opening; the 500-ticket cap can run out on busy days.
- Wear shoes with grip. The rocks near the pool are slippery.
- Changing rooms are at the parking area, not at the falls.
- The climb back is tiring, so it does not suit older guests or anyone with knee trouble.
Safety
Pool depth changes with the flow. Never swim alone, and stay out of the water when the flow is strong or after rain. Expect leeches in the wet months.
